Safety and Training

We take our responsibility as protectors of children in our care very seriously.

Each PHBC volunteer who works with minors in any way must meet eligibility requirements spelled out in our Child Abuse Prevention policy, fill out a detailed application, submit to a background check and complete Child Abuse Prevention Training. Currently, we use the MinistrySafe program to administer our background checks and training.

Child check-in for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programs takes place in our Student and Nursery Area at the north end of the building. (See a map of the Student and Nursery Area entrance here)

To keep kids as safe as possible, we use software that prints nametags with the child’s name, guardian's name and phone number, and any health pertinent health information (allergies, etc.)

Guardians receive a matching ticket that is scanned when they come to pick up their child. All kids, regardless of age, are checked in and out in the Student and Nursery Area.
