Wisdom Seen in How we Come to God.
Proverbs 13:1 (ESV)
1 A wise son hears his father's instruction,
but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.
- How are you approaching your Heavenly Father
- As a Child
- As a scoffer?
A Child of God, Hears the father
A Child of God, looks to the Father for instruction
A Child of God, accepts rebuke
A Child of God, knows the Father has what is best for them!
A Scoffer presumes they don’t need instruction
A Scoffer assumes they don’t need rebuked, because they are right in their own eyes.
A Scoffer neither hears, nor listens to the Father
A Scoffer does not receive the Gospel, for they believe they are good enough, on their own, based on what they think is right, without God.

Are we coming to God as children, who need correction, to receive instruction, to hear what God has to speak to us?
- Do we see God as our loving father, who gives us every good thing we have in life, for our good and His glory?
- Today, come to God and recognize that He is not only the giver of every good gift, but the guide we need for all our lives today!
